New Members Brown Bag Lunch

My first RBMS preconference in Las Vegas was a whirlwind of inspiration and education. Among the more memorable events was the New Member Brown Bag Lunch, which allowed me to meet both fellow first time RBMS attendees, as well as returning members. It was a richly rewarding experience, and one that made me feel very much at home in RBMS, and at the preconference.

I want to invite you all – both new members and first time attendees, as well as returning members and attendees, to come to this year’s New Member Brown Bag Lunch, organized by the Membership and Professional Development Committee, and co-sponsored with the Diversity Committee, on Wednesday, June 22nd.

We have a simplified format this year – lunch is on-site (we suggest getting a ticket for the box lunch on Wednesday!), and we are meeting in the Tuttle room. There new members will have a chance to meet returning members informally, and returning members get to meet first-time attendees! If you did not already purchase a Wednesday box lunch and would like to add it to your registration, please call the ALA registration department at 800-545-2433 and press option #5 or email registration@ala.org.

I hope to see you there, and I look forward to seeing part of what makes RBMS a welcoming and inviting organization!
